Library Fall Events

Summer may be coming to an end, but new programs are starting up again at your local library! See some of the exciting events and activities happening at the libraries in the Warminster-Willow Grove area! Click on the name of each branch to access the calendar and see what's happening each month. Plenty of events are drop-in friendly, however some special programming will require registration in advance of the event. 🚨Mom Tip🚨See an event you want to sign up for that isn't open yet? Set a reminder on your phone, so that you don't forget to sign-up once registration opens!

Check out this branch for exciting events and activities, including opportunities for children in grades 1-5 to read to a therapy dog. You'll also find craft clubs, workshops, storytime, and more for your family!

Children and teens can join in on the fun with chess clubs! You'll also find storytime for babies and children and some special sessions related to different topics each month!

At this library, children and babies can take part in storytime, while teens have opportunities to experience evening meditation and workshops with different monthly themes.

At the Glenside location, you can attend storytime when it works for your family, with morning and evening times available. Drop-in and play sessions and clubs are available for kids, and teens can find support, such as college-prep workshops in September!

At this library, Reading Buddies is offered for children in grades K-3, to take turns reading aloud in a group with volunteers to help enhance their reading abilities! Mr. Jim's storytime takes place each week on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Don't miss out Super Hero Training Academy on September 12th, where kids can learn how to be a superhero! Space is limited, so register soon! You'll also find a variety of storytime options for babies through age 6, as well as workshops, clubs, stay-and-play sessions, and plenty of teen events too! 

In addition to toddler and preschool storytime, discover other exciting activities for children, including the Book Worm Book Club for elementary students, a Middle School Book club, and an Art & Audio Book Club for High School age students.

This location offers a weekly Saturday storytime for children! Don't miss online resources, including Scholastic Teachables, an online database, where you can search and print educational materials from the comfort of your home!

Now that the school year has begun, get started with some fun, including storytime for babies and toddlers, open play sessions for different ages. For teens,  every 2-3 weeks, you'll find new craft projects, which will be available for pick up in the teen section of the library, with supplies and instructions included.

Offering hundreds of programs for kids and families that celebrate stories, music, crafts, STEAM, and family entertainment. Have a teen? Don't miss the 2nd-floor Teen Lounge and opportunities to help plan library programs by joining the Teen Leadership Council, which meets on the first Wednesday evenings of each month (except July and August). 

In addition to storytime for babies and toddlers, you'll find arts and crafts, clubs, volunteer opportunities for teens. Take learning on-the-go with Pre-K packets which are available the 1st of every month and Elementary Experimenters supplies, which are available for pick up starting the 15th of each month. An all-age Two Sentence Horror Story Contest will be running from October 1st-21st.

Let the fun begin with a Back to School Scavenger Hunt, running from September 3rd-6th during regular hours.  Attend free educational programs for children, including storytimes, interactive art, STEM programs, book clubs, creative writing workshops, and other social groups!
