I love Fall, and I try to get my kids outdoors every chance I get! Eastern Montgomery County and Bucks County are lucky to have so many great parks and playgrounds for kids. With the excess of screen time many of our kids are experiencing this season, I wanted to share some of our personal favorite parks and playgrounds, as well as some that were recommended by others. My kids have swung, spun, and raced through many of them ... and definitely have their favorites!
Here’s a list of our family’s top six favorite parks and playgrounds in Eastern Montco and Warminster, and the reasons we love them:

Although it's easy for parks in Horsham Township get lost in the shadow of Lukens Park and Everybody's Playground, Kohler Park is definitely worth checking out! It offers a fishing pond with two aerators, picnic tables, barbecue grills and one pavilion, two horseshoe pits, a playground, walking trails, a lighted in-line street hockey court, restrooms, a gazebo, and a Dog Park. Northampton Municipal Park 281 Hatboro Rd. Churchville, PA | ![]()
Located just across the street from Warminster Community Park, this 89-acre park offers both active and passive recreation. The Municipal Park is the home of the Miracle League fields; a baseball and multipurpose field designed specifically to enable individuals with special needs the opportunity to play sports. The park also features a large playground, softball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts, a roller hockey rink, trails, picnic pavilions and an amphitheater. The amphitheater serves as the venue for the Parks and Recreation Sights and Sounds of Summer Series. A Butterfly Garden of Remembrance, designed as a place of reflection for individuals to come and remember their loved ones who have passed on, has become a treasured feature of the park. Parkside Place Complex 1 Parkside Pl. North Wales, PA | ![]()
Parkside Place Complex is another park that my family is excited to explore! With 5 tennis courts, 4 pickleball courts, 2 basketball courts, a pool complex, exercise course, woodlands trail, pavilion, gazebo, amphitheater, and bike and walking trails. The trails at the Parkside Place complex cover one mile and are comprised of two trails - the Woodlands Trail and the Parkside Trail. The Parkside trail is 1/2 mile long and travels along the front quadrant of the complex by the pavilion, basketball courts and tennis courts. The Woodlands Trail, also 1/2 mile, is located in the rear of the complex and winds through a peaceful natural area highlighted by the sensory garden. Click here for the Green Ribbon Trail Map |
